A small toolbox

Tools built because I needed them, and eight games built for the pleasure of it. They all work without a connection once the app is installed, and none of them sends anything anywhere.

The bench

The bench

Small exact tools: spelling on the phone, and more to come. Each gives a value and cites the standard it comes from.

5 calendars

The calendars

Environment, health, cross-border tax, phrases, and a joke a day. One door at a time.

Daily

A door a day

One door per day of the year: a word, a rule, a false friend. Everyone opens the same door - explained in your language.

Practice

Workplace German

Office German, not textbook German. Leitner boxes: get it wrong and the word comes straight back.

Check

Contrast checker

Two colours, one verdict - and the nearest fix that keeps your hue.

Aside

Aya's Warehouse

A crate-pushing puzzle that tells you the moment a crate can no longer be saved. Eight levels, three languages, and a level editor that refuses to save the unsolvable.

Aside

The Firefly Round

A gentle garden game. Wake the sleeping fireflies and lead them home to the lantern. Nothing to defeat, nothing to lose.

Cross-border

The Cliff

Live a year of cross-border telework and watch two thresholds count you. One counts days, the other a share of time, and neither warns you. A Luxembourg payslip is decoded line by line.

Learn & play

The Last Stroke

The paper game of boxes, with questions inside. Close a box, then earn it: German, French, English, compliance, digital security. Hard questions weigh more, and points win - not boxes.

Strategy

Four Seeds

Twelve pits, forty-eight seeds, nothing hidden. Sow, harvest, and read three moves ahead - against a computer that reads seven. A West African sowing game, Abapa tournament rules.

Reflex

The Shuttle

The cloth comes down and never stops. Every thread the shuttle frees pushes it back up and lengthens your band. Four threads of one colour in a row set that colour loose. Your band is your score.

Night drive

The Co-Driver

Your headlights reach a hundred metres. The corner is three hundred away. Your co-driver reads the book and calls what you cannot see. Every fork offers a shortcut he has never driven, and on it he goes quiet.

Duel

The Ember

The puck heats up. Every return without a goal moves it one step - cold it is worth one point, blazing five, and a goal conceded costs exactly the same. Pull your mallet back to cool it. Four opponents, four habits to take apart.

Nothing here is unique in kind. What is mine is the content: the words and the rules were chosen one by one, from what actually trips people up at work.
